Find Talent for a Job

You can search for and invite talent directly from a job post.

Use this workflow when you want to source candidates for a specific role. When you search from a job post, Lifted displays candidate previews from both Company Talent and the Global Talent Network based on your job details.

Search for Talent from a Job Post

To find talent from a job:

  1. Go to Job Posts from the left navigation menu.

  2. Open the job you want to fill.

  3. Select the Search Talent tab.

Lifted displays candidate previews based on your job details.

The default search uses the job’s Category and automatically applies an Engagement Type filter to show talent eligible for the job.

Understand Talent Sources

When searching from a job, you may see candidates from two talent sources.

Company Talent

Company Talent includes talent who are associated with your organization on Lifted. This includes past collaborators and pre-identified talent who have registered on the platform.

Company Talent is best for:

  • Re-engaging talent you’ve worked with before

  • Managing your organization’s talent pool

  • Inviting known talent to jobs

Global Talent Network

The Global Talent Network allows you to discover external talent through Lifted’s partner network, including Upwork.

These candidates may not yet have a Lifted profile. If invited to a job, they will be prompted to create a Lifted profile when they accept the invitation.

The Global Talent Network is best for:

  • Discovering new talent outside your organization

  • Expanding your candidate pool for a specific job

Search the Global Talent Network

When searching the Global Talent Network, the search query defaults to the job title but can be edited at any time.

Available filters include:

  • Skills

  • Location

  • Languages

  • Job Success Score

  • Badge

  • Pay Rate

  • English Proficiency

Save Talent for Later

When you find promising candidates, you can save them to a Group in Saved Talent for future opportunities.

Invite Company Talent

To invite Company Talent to a job:

  1. Select one or more talent profiles.

  2. Click Invite to Job.

The candidate receives an invitation from Lifted to submit a proposal.

Invited candidates appear in the job’s Talent Tracker with:

  • Status: Invited

  • Source: Company talent

Invite Global Talent

To invite talent from the Global Talent Network:

  1. Select one or more talent profiles.

  2. Click Invite to Job.

The invitation is delivered through Lifted's external network. If the candidate is sourced through a partner platform (for example, Upwork), the invitation is also delivered to their associated account and email.

If the candidate does not already have a Lifted profile, they will be prompted to create one before submitting a proposal.

Invited candidates appear in the job’s Talent Tracker with:

  • Status: Invited

  • Source: Global talent network

Track Invited Talent

After candidates are invited, you can track them from the job’s Talent Tracker.
