GST is collected on applicable service fees, and rates or applicable services may change based on government requirements.

India requires Lifted to collect and remit GST to the government unless you provide a valid GSTIN.

We’re required to comply with the tax laws of the countries where we operate.

What services does India GST apply to?

Examples of services where India GST may apply include:

  • Service fees

  • Overage fees

  • Subscription fees

  • Billing fees

  • Fees associated with pre-identified talent engagements

  • Payroll service fees

  • Service fees for engagements with non-U.S.-based talent

  • Service fees for engagements with U.S.-based talent

Because GST is applied when required by law, applicable services or tax rates may change based on government regulations.

FAQ's

Am I required to provide a GST identification number?

No. However, if you provide a valid GSTIN to Lifted, we will not be required to collect GST from you once your GSTIN is verified.

Who has to pay India GST?

India GST applies to services provided to clients and talent who reside in, have a permanent address in, or are established in India.

If your company has not provided a valid GSTIN, Lifted is required to collect GST on applicable services.
