Use Messaging in Lifted

Messaging in Lifted allows clients and talent to communicate directly within the platform during hiring and contract workflows.

Messaging is available from:

  • Talent profiles

  • Contracts

Important: File attachments are not currently supported.

Start a Chat from a Talent Profile

Clients can start a conversation directly from a talent profile in the Talent Pool.

Talent profile chats can be used for topics such as:

  • Introduce opportunities

  • Discuss qualifications

  • Coordinate next steps

Start a Chat

  1. Go to Talent Pool.

  2. Open a talent profile.

  3. Select the Chat tab.

  4. Start a conversation.

Important

  • One-to-one chats are supported from talent profiles.

  • Talent cannot initiate these conversations.

  • Conversations remain connected to the talent profile.

  • The conversation also appears in All Chats.

Your conversation is ready to continue from either the talent profile or All Chats.

Start a Chat from a Contract

Clients and talent can both start conversations from a contract.

Contract chats can be used for discussing matters such as:

  • Onboarding coordination

  • Project communication

  • Ongoing contract discussions

Start a Chat

  1. Open a contract.

  2. Select the Chat tab.

  3. Start a conversation.

Important

  • Both clients and talent can initiate contract chats.

  • Conversations remain connected to the contract for all project members.

  • Contract chats remain separate from talent profile chats, even when they involve the same participants.

  • The conversation also appears in All Chats.

You can return to the contract at any time to continue the conversation.

View and Manage Chats

The All Chats page provides a centralized place to manage conversations.

From All Chats, you can:

  • View active conversations.

  • Switch between chats.

  • Access conversations from talent profiles and contracts in one place.

Access All Chats

The All Chats icon is available in the top navigation bar.

Chat names may include related contract information for easier navigation.

That's it. You can use All Chats to quickly access conversations across Lifted.

Messaging Notifications

Lifted notifies you when you receive a new message so you can stay up to date on conversations.

In-Platform Notifications

When you receive a new message, you'll receive an in-platform notification in Lifted.

Email Notifications

You may also receive an email notification if you are not actively viewing the conversation.

Email notifications help you stay connected to conversations without needing to keep a chat open.
